PESHAWAR: The management of the Pesco team has alleged that power supply to the areas of Ghari Chandan a rural locality of Peshawar district was illegally restored by the inhabitants of the area with the help of the elected representatives yesterday, said a release of Pesco here Tuesday.
The release added that Pesco team will again disconnect these premises. In the meantime Pesco Recovery teams of Lala Sub-Division recovered about Rs. 2.5 lacs from the defaulters.
Similarly, the Pesco also disconnected power supply to Regi Lalma and Achini Maira due to nonpayment of Rs 22 lacs. Defaulters have been warned to deposit their dues, otherwise electricity will not be restored. Due to illegal use of electricity in these areas, power supply system was severely over loaded and was causing frequent power break downs.
On the other hand the defaulters are warned if they did not pay the arrears and current dues, strict legal action will also be initiated against them.
The defaulters are also directed to make payment of their outstanding dues otherwise their power supply will be disconnected without further notice and will not be restored until payment of dues.
