ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said Pakistan was determined to positive and good bilateral relations with Afghanistan.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that that he is visiting Afghanistan on Sunday (today) where he would meet the Afghan leadership and discuss several issues including enhancing bilateral relations between both the countries.
The advisor to PM said during stay in Afghanistan, he would discuss pending trade agreements between both the countries.
He said that Pakistan wanted peaceful and stable Afghanistan and the government would continue struggle in this regard.
He said that during the meeting with Afghan leaders, they would also discuss preparing agenda of Afghan president Hamid Karzai’s visit to Pakistan and date in this regard was not scheduled yet.
To a question about terrorism activities, Sartaj Aziz said that so far Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had presided over four meetings for forming policy about anti-terrorism activities in the region, adding that it was priority of the government to devise policy about terrorism.
He said that Pakistan could play its role for maintaining peace and law and order in Afghanistan, adding that United Kingdom (UK), Pakistan and United States were struggling to complete reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
