MULTAN: The Irrigation department imposed a fine of Rs173.086 million to dozens of farmers on water theft during Rabbi season 2012-13.
According to official sources, a fine of Rs173.086 million was imposed to farmers who were involved in water theft during the Rabbi season 2012-13 in the Multan zone.
A strict monitoring policy had been made by the department to control water theft, sources added.
