Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: No ships arrived at the Port on Saturday, port sources said here on Sunday.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 21% at the Port on Saturday where a total of three ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey -Powership, M.V Sargasso Sea, M.V Bella-l are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, rice.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 43124 tonnes comprising 17542 tonnes import, 25582 tonnes export, 381 (Tues) was handled during the last 24 hours.

M.V Sargasso Sea sailed on Saturday afternoon, M.V Bella-l sailed on Sunday morning.

M.V Alliance Norfolk at Qict, M.V Maersk Detroit at Qict and M.T Heng Xin at LCT arrived on Sunday as per schedule, the port sources further said.
