ISLAMABAD: Federal finance advisor Dr Shahid Amjad has claimed three hours relief in power loadshedding would be provided to consumers from Monday (tomorrow).
He was addressing a joint press conference with Minister Water and Power, Dr Musadaq Malid and Minister for Petroleum Sohail Wajahat here on Saturday.
Dr Shahid Amjad said that caretaker government has already released Rs 20 billion to support the power sector, Rs 10 bln would be released by end of the ongoing month and Rs 35 billion would be released in May to improve the power generation situation.
He said that release of funds would surely result in increase of power generation which would ultimately lessen the loadshedding and industries would also be benefited.
Speaking on the occasion Petroleum Minister Sohail Wajahat Saddiqqi said that within two days power stations would be provided additional 150 million cubic feet gas.
Water and Power Minister Dr Musadaq claimed that 1900MW would be included in national grid within two days.
He also apologized to the nation for prolonged and unscheduled loadshedding and assured that no efforts would be spared to mend the situation.
