KARACHI: Three ships arrived at the Port to load/ offload containers at QICT, acetic acid at EVTL and for loading rice at FAP on April 20, port sources said here Sunday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 42% at the Port on Saturday where a total of six ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican BEY- Powership, M.V Mercy Wisdom, M.V Diamond Sea, M.V MSC Levina, M.T Karachi, M.T Chembulk Singapore are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, wheat, rice, furnace oil, acetic acid.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the port where a cargo volume 71872 tonnes comprising 58680 tonnes import, 13192 tonnes export 1196 (TUEs) was handled at the port during the last 24 hours.
M.T Chembulk Singapore, M.T Karachi sailed on Sunday morning.
M.T AL Kuwaitiah at FOTCO, M.V Maersk Carolina at QICT arrived on April 21, 2013 as per arrival schedule, port sources said.
