KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International and FOTCO Terminals respectively during the last 24 hours, port sources said here Thursday.
Three more ships scheduled to load/ offload containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Thursday where total number of eight ships namely M.V AI Noof, CGM Verdi, Phutai- 19, Styliani, Faith, Stadt Solingen, Inlaco Brave, MT Lahore and Bunga Allium are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, rice, cement, sand crush, furnace oil and edible oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 105409 tonnes comprising 70745 tonnes imports and 34664 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1545 containers (Boxes) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
