LAHORE: All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) leadership will hold meetings with federal secretaries on burning issues of textile industry including market access, energy crisis and fiscal matters today.
In this connection, three APTMA delegations would engage the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) respectively, and each meeting would be represented by over 20 APTMA members along with the conveners of the relevant committees, said the Association's spokesman here Sunday.
The Association's Central Chairman Ahsan Bashir would lead a delegation to the FBR to deliberate the problems being faced by the APTMA members owing to tax relating issues. While, another delegation led by APTMA (Punjab) Chairman Shahzad Ali, would call on Secretary Petroleum & Natural Resources to discuss energy issues of the industry, he maintained.
Similarly, he said, APTMA Committee on International Trade's Convener Amir Fayyaz Sheikh would head a delegation, which would discuss with authorities of Commerce Ministry, the issues pertaining to market access to the textile products world over.
The Committee would call on the Commerce Secretary to share the APTMA initiatives and where the government could extend a helping hand to it for speedy proceedings.
