KARACHI: As Swift paradoxically believes that 13 is her lucky number, she has decided to release her new video “22” from the album “Red” on 13th March 2013. Not only is this is her fourth video from the album but her tour for “Red “starts on her lucky date too!
The 23-year-old seemed to have a blast shooting at a beach in California on Monday. Paparazzo caught her riding on a shopping cart, eating ice cream and surrounded by her real-life girlfriends (minus besty Selena Gomez). In an interview she expressed her satisfaction at having so many friends to fall back on and claimed that this was what being 22 was all about for her.
The video was directed by Anthony Mandler, who shot her darker side in her “I Knew You Were Trouble” video that launched last year. A teaser will air on Good Morning America a little while before the actual video is broadcasted.
"Leaving LA now after the best day with my friends. Almost forgot it was a video shoot. Can't wait for you guys to see it," she tweeted post-shoot.
But what Swift does not seem to have forgotten is the time she spent with her exes, Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy, both of which are hinted at in her new video.
Could it be a coincidence that she spent sunny days at the beach with Kennedy and the video is shot at the seaside?
And it is probably no coincidence that the country singer is clad Harry Styles-style in a beanie hat and jeans throughout the video. Plus, in a still from the video, Swift is lifted into the air by a friend, which is highly reminiscent of the time the One Direction star lifted Swift backstage at the Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden.
