President condoles demise of eminent poetess Shabnam Shakil

LAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of eminent poetess Shabnam Shakil.

In his message, the President lauded invaluable contribution of Shabnam Shakil towards Urdu poetry which, he said, would be remembered for long.

He expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

The President also prayed for the courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
