ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall on Monday further dipped to 3,002 MW from 3,100 MW as the total power generation was recorded as 10,700 MW against demand of 13,702 MW during the last 24 hours.
According to daily power generation report, the hydel generation stood at 2,662 MW, WAPDA thermal 1,782 MW, IPPs 6,194 MW and Rental 62 MW.
Some 700 MW electricity was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the report further said.
Meanwhile, hydel generation from Tarbela dam has significantly decreased as water level of the reservoir stood at dead point of 1378.00 feet.
The water inflow in all rivers has also dropped due to slow melting of snow.
