WAPDA will construct three power projects in GB

ISLAMABAD: WAPDA will construct 3 power projects in Gilgit Baltistan to overcome energy shortage.

According to Radio Pakistan, the government has issued NOC to WAPDA for initiating work on 80 megawatt Phander hydel power project, Ghizer, 40 megawatt, Basho, Skardu and 35 megawatt at Hurpo power project in Gilgit.

Secretary Power Gilgit Baltistan Ghulam Mehdi said foreign organization will provide assistance for the construction of these projects. Work on the projects will begin shortly.
