Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: Two ships C.V Maersk Missouri and C.V Lantau Arrow carrying containers were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal on Sunday, Port sources said here Monday.
Two more ships with dlesel oil and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy at the Port remained at 43% on Monday where seven ships namely C.V Maersk Missouri, C.V Lantau Arrow, M.V Thelsis, M.V Dynamic Ocean, M.V HR Margartha, M.T Miramis and M.T Gas Chem Pacific were occupying berths at PQA to load/ offload containers, cement, rice, palm oil and LPG during the last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 53,974 tonnes, comprises 35,678 tonnes imports and 18,296 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,072 containers (1,172 imports and 900 exports TEUs) were handled during the last 24 hours.
Four vessels C.V Maersk Missouri, C.V Lantau Arrow, M.T Miramis and M.T Gas Chem Pacific sailed out to sea on Monday morning.
M.T Chemroad Journey carrying 18,500 tonnes palm oil is expected to take berth at Liquid Terminal on Monday.
