Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships arrived at Port Qasim to load/ offload rice at FAP, palm oil at M.W - 1 on Saturday, port sources said here Sunday.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 71pc at the Port on Saturday where a total of ten ships M.V KPS-I Alican Bey-Powership, M.T Miramis, M.V Dong Hai Jun 7001 Dredger, M.V Thelisis, M.V MSC Jade, M.T Mire, M.T Global Peace, M.V Hr Margaretha, M.V Dynamic Ocean, M.T Gas Chem Pacific are currently occupying berths to load/ offload, containers, rice, cement, palm oil, furnace oil, LPG.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 122563 tonnes comprising 83473 tonnes import 39085 tonnes export and (2268) Tues was handled during the last 24 hours.

M.T Global Peace, M.V MSC Jade sailed on Sunday morning.
