HELSINKI: Finnish forest group Metsa Board said it sold its Alizay paper mill in France for 22 million euros ($29 million) to the local government council of France's Eure department and would book 16 million euros in special operating income as a result.
Metsa Board closed down paper production at the Alizay mill in early 2012 as part of efforts to cut back production and costs amid falling European demand for paper.
It has since been shifting its focus to more profitable paperboard products.
