40,000 to 45,000 overseas Pakistanis to be repatriated per week from June 20: Dr Yusuf

Following Prime Minister Imran Khan's (PM) approval to resume international flights, Pakistan will be operating flights from June 20 to bring back overseas Pakistanis.

This was announced by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf and SAPM on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari in a presser today.

"40,000 to 45,000 overseas Pakistanis will be repatriated per week from 20 June onwards," Yusuf said. He said all airlines will be be allowed to operate. He said all passengers must quarantine themselves upon their arrival.

""If they suspect them to have corona, they will be taken to hotels and kept there until results are received," he said.

SAPM Bukhari said if these passengers do not quarantine at their homes and the government has to close our airspace, then the passengers will create difficulty for those working abroad.
