water 400ISLAMABAD: Sindh government is spending rupees 8.5 billion on the installation of 225 Water Filtration Plants for providing pure drinking water to the people of nine districts of the province.

 

Talking to Radio Pakistan, a spokesman of Sindh government said that under the programme potable drinking water will be provided to these districts through Reverse Osmosis plants, Ultra Filtration plant and desalination plants in three phases.

 

Replying to a question, the spokesman said work is already in progress on this project which is scheduled to be completed during the ongoing financial year.

 

He said with the installation of filtration plants millions of people will have access to clean water and they will be saved from water borne diseases.
