taiwan central bank 400TAIPEI: Taiwan's central bank kept its benchmark discount rate unchanged at 1.875 percent on Wednesday, saying economic growth was expected to be mild in 2013 and inflation pressures were easing, though consumer prices were seen rising modestly next year.

All 12 economists in a Reuters poll had predicted the central bank's quarterly policy meeting would leave the policy rate unchanged.
