ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date of filing of Sales Tax and Federal Excise returns upto September 5 for the tax period July 2012, for all registered persons.
"The date of payment of tax shall, however, be August 30, 2012", said a statement issued here on Thursday.
The decision has been taken by the FBR in exercise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.
