K-P govt to provide Rs7 million to medical professionals who die from coronavirus: Wazir

• Wazir says the package will be applicable to all health professionals of all grades.
• K-P government will present its recommendations to ease restrictions on movement to the National Coordination Committee: Adviser.

(Karachi) Adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ajmal Wazir has said that the provincial government will provide Rs7 million to the family of those medical professionals who die due to the coronavirus.

Addressing  a press briefing in Peshawar on Friday, Wazir said that the package will be applicable to all health professionals of all grades.

He maintained that the K-P government will present its recommendations to ease restrictions on movement to the National Coordination Committee. He pointed out that the provincial government will also detail the standard operating procedures in its proposal.

The adviser said that the situation in the province with regards to the deadly disease is alarming. He urged people to stay indoors and take all possible precautions to curb spread of the virus.

He warned that if SOPs were not followed, the government will have to restrict people to their homes.
