SRB further extends deadline for tax returns

In order to facilitate the taxpayers amid the ongoing lockdown announced by the Sindh government to avoid COVID-19 spread, the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has further extended the last date for e-deposit and e-filing of tax returns for the tax period of February 2020.
According to the notification, the SRB has permitted the registered people including withholding agents covered by the provisions of the Sindh Sales Tax Special Procedure (withholding) Rules 2014 to e-deposit the amounts of Sindh sales tax for the tax period February 2020 on or before March 31, 2020, and the e-filing of tax returns for the same period till April 10, 2020 in the prescribed manner.
