Secretary Information and Labour Sindh, Abdul Rasheed Solangi stressed upon the officers of Information department to highlight the people-welfare projects of the government through media so that people could get the maximum benefits of these projects.
He stated this at a meeting of officers of Information Hyderabad Division at Circuit House Hyderabad on Saturday. Divisional Director Information Hyderabad Zahid Mustafa Memon, Deputy Director Shehzad Shaikh, Deputy Director Mohammed Sabir Kaka and others attended the meeting.
Solangi directed the officers to keep liaison with media men and facilitate them in performing their professional duties.
He said in order to bring improvement in the Information department on modern lines and to keep intact the journalistic values, a conference of senior journalists, members of civil society, teachers and students of media studies and government officers of good reputation should be organized so that measures be taken on their suggestions in this regard.
The officers informed the secretary about their problems and promotion issues. The secretary assured them that their problems would be solved on priority basis.
