ISLAMABAD: The top brass of the Pakistan Army on Tuesday condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complex, describing them as an unnecessary escalation that undermines efforts to resolve the conflict through peaceful means.

The Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, noted that Saudi Arabia’s restraint amid ‘grave provocations’ paved the way for mediation and diplomatic engagement.

The conference warned that such “unwarranted aggressions” risk spoiling ongoing peace efforts.

The forum also commended the Pakistani government’s efforts to end the war in the Middle East, reiterating calls for restraint, dialogue, and de-escalation.

It reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to principled diplomacy and its role as a “responsible regional stakeholder” contributing to peace and stability.

The top military forum rejected what it called persistent disinformation and “false flag narratives” attributed to India, describing them as internationally discredited.

It expressed concern over human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), citing recent fake encounters allegedly used to cover extrajudicial killings.

The conference also reviewed the country’s internal and external security environment, pledging to continue targeting terrorist proxies operating with support from India and other external sponsors.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq would continue until “terrorists’ safe havens” and use of Afghan soil against Pakistan were decisively eliminated.

Gen Munir praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professionalism, operational performance, and commitment to defence and intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations.

He highlighted the combined role of government, military, and citizens in consolidating security, strengthening economic resilience, and enhancing Pakistan’s regional and global standing.
