Pakistan condemns Iranian missile, drone attacks on Saudi Arabian energy facilities

Pakistan on Tuesday condemned drone and missile strikes launched by Iran against energy installations in Saudi Arabia’s eastern region, describing the act as a “serious violation” of the Kingdom’s sovereignty.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office expressed deep concern over the escalation, which resulted in the loss of life and significant damage to vital infrastructure. “The Government of Pakistan conveys its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and stands in firm solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia during this difficult time,” the statement read.

Islamabad further warned that such attacks constitute a dangerous escalation that directly undermines regional peace and stability. “The Government of Pakistan considers these attacks a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” it added.

Reaffirming its strategic ties with Riyadh, the Foreign Office underscored Pakistan’s “unwavering support” for the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity.

Iran on Tuesday attacked ​a petrochemical ​complex in Saudi ⁠Arabia’s Jubail ​industrial city, ​located in the eastern province, Iran’s ​semi-official ​Fars news agency said.

The ‌Saudi Arabian government communications office, state oil giant ​Aramco ​and ⁠its petrochemicals subsidiary ​SABIC did ​not ⁠immediately respond to requests ⁠for ​comment.
