imageLAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) on Monday urged the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) to resolve the issues of tripping and low voltage at Ferozepur Road Industrial Area.

The LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad made this demand in a meeting with a delegation of Ferozepur Road Industrial Association (FRIA) led by its Chairman Khawaja Shahzeb Akram here. Adnan Khalid Butt and Arshad Baig were prominent among other members of the delegation.

The delegation informed the LCCI president that tripping and unscheduled loadshedding was damaging the industrial activities in the Ferozepur Road Industrial area.

After listening to their point of view, Sheikh Muhammad Arshad said that the industry needed a continuous supply of electricity to keep the units operational and complete the export orders well within the given timeframe.

He said that cheaper and uninterrupted power supply was the only way to achieve economic targets set for the year 2016-17.

The LCCI President said that Ferozepur Road Industrial Area was facing tripping, low voltage and unscheduled loadshedding, therefore LESCO should resolve this issue at the earliest.
