MULTAN: Pakistan Muslim League (N) secured 78 seats of chairman and vice chairmanship in district Multan and remained at top, according to unofficial results.
Independent candidates secured 60 seats, Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf 30, and Pakistan People's Party got 12 seats of chairmen from the district.
There are 185 union councils in district Multan in which district council is comprised of 117 union councils while 68 UCs are in municipal corporation Multan.
Out of total, 117 seats of District Council, PML N secured 42 seats, PTI 17 seats, Independent 43 and PPP 11 seats.
Out of total seats of Municipal Corporation, PML N achieved 36 seats, PTI 13, Independents 17 and Pakistan People's Party got one seat.
The result of another four union councils is still awaited.
Election was postponed in one UC due to death of one candidate.
