imageLAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the news regarding non-availability of petrol in some cities of Punjab.

He directed Cabinet Committee on Price Control, provincial administration, Commissioners and DCOs to take necessary steps in this regard so that people should not face any difficulty.

Provision of petroleum products on new rates should be ensured, he said.

The Chief Minister said that there should be no complaint of non-availability of petrol or diesel and it is the responsibility of the authorities concerned to ensure provision of petrol on fixed rates to the citizens.

He said that immediate action should be taken over non-availability of petrol or diesel as well as against the owners of the petrol pumps involved in overcharging.
