imageFormer Pakistan captain and senior batsman Younis Khan is not happy with the behavior of Test captain, Misbah-ul-Haq and head coach Waqar Younis.

According to foreign media reports Younis Khan said, “I don’t know if I had not scored those 177 runs in the fourth innings of the third Test in Sri Lanka what would have happened. Most probably I would have been dropped. But this is not the way to treat senior players they need to be given confidence and I have always played for and give my best for Pakistan”.

His comments have only given authenticity to rumors that some of the players are not happy with the behavior of Misbah and Waqar towards them and there have been incidents where the two have openly run down players in the dressing room, foreign media reported.

Younis further said that captaincy was a big honour for any senior player and he would like to lead the current Test side. He also insisted that it was unfair on part of critics to compare him with current captain Misbah-ul-Haq. Younis also made it clear that no one should make any comparisons between him and Misbah-ul-Haq. “I should not be compared to Misbah, I am more senior and experienced than him. I am also four years younger than him and my style of playing is more aggressive,” he added.

Younis Khan earlier this month, lead Pakistan to a record breaking win over Sri Lanka in the third Test in which he scored a memorable second innings 171 not out.
