According to American media reports Hollywood actor Colin Farrell has expressed his admiration for ‘Batman vs Superman’ star Ben Affleck and reckons he’ll “kill it” as caped crusader.

Affleck, who shot to fame in 1998 by the film ‘Armageddon’, has faced a wall of criticism over his casting for the highly coveted role.

Collin told Total film magazine, “I always enjoyed watching him, as a director he's extraordinary too, but his work in 'The Town' and 'Argo', he was so fantastic in both those films. In 'Argo', it was such a controlled performance. I think he'll kill it as 'Batman'. I hope he does and shuts the naysayers up.”

Farrell feels Affleck has taken his acting skills to unparalleled heights in recent years.

“'Good luck to him. I think he'll do a great job. As an actor, I don't know that I know anyone that's improved as much as he has. That sounds like a s**t thing to say,” he added.

The Zack Snyder-directed sequel will also feature Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, while Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman. The film is expected to release in May, 2016.
