imageISLAMABAD: As the general elections are coming closer, the printing industry business continues in full swing, fulfilling the orders of contesting candidates and political parties.

The political parties and candidates are using panaflex, banners and posters to publicise their slogans, flags, manifestos, feelings and sentiments.

Asmat Ullah, a composer said that due to workload they have to work for long hours, however he was happy for earning more as compared to usual days.

He said that several people have booked some of the printing presses in advance while some candidates are waiting for the party tickets to launch their formal poster campaign.

"So its good that the business will further increase in coming days," he expected.

Another expert of Panaflex machine claimed that most of the people depend on panaflex now-a-days which they display on the highways and streets poles.

He said that designers put all the pictures together and capture images of these graphics and print them out via designer jet machines in sizes and material according to the wishes of the customers.

"We are hopeful that in the coming days activity will further increase," he said.

Social media has also become a useful tool for the politicians as well to disseminate their messages to the masses as effectively as never observed before.

Social media is being used as a launching pad for election campaigning by almost all the major political parties who have developed their websites and have profile pages on popular social networking sites.

Attractive messages based on political activities are being circulated to gain maximum support of the people.

The parties have also hired the services of Information Technology (IT) experts for this purpose as it is the fastest way of conveying messages to millions of people simultaneously.
