HAMBURG: A Syrian state agency has issued an international tender to purchase and import 80,000 tonnes of white refined sugar, European traders said on Friday.

The deadline in the tender from the General Foreign Trade Organisation is Nov. 11.

Shipment is sought in two 40,000 tonne consignments.

The first being shipped 60 days after the letter of credit opening on the deal and the second 180 days after supply of the first consignment, traders said.
