US 3-year notes sold at lowest yield in 2 years

NEW YORK: The US Treasury Department on Tuesday sold $38 billion in three-year government notes at a yield of 1.562%, the lowest yield at an auction for this debt maturity since September 2017, Treasury data showed.

The ratio of bids to the amount of three-year notes was 2.41, up from 2.39 at the prior three-year auction in July.
