FAISALABAD: As many as 1.354 million children would be administered anti-polio vaccine in the district during a three-day drive.
The campaign would continue from December 10 to 12 and additional two days would be observed as sweeping days for achieving cent per cent results.
This was told by Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saif Ullah Dogar while inaugurating anti-polio campaign at Children Hospital Jhang Road here on Saturday.
CEO District Health Authority Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Sipra, DHO Dr Muhammad Asif Shahzad, Medical Superintendent Children Hospital Dr Habib Buttar, Dr Bilal Ahmad, Area Coordinator WHO Dr Fiaz Sarwar and other officers of the health department were also present.
The DC directed that polio teams should be present on static points at passengers transport stands, the busiest intersections, markets, hospitals, dispensaries, motorway, railway station, recreational places and other sites. DHO Dr Asif Shahzad said that all arrangements had been finalised and a total 3,234 teams would remain active during the campaign.
