Karan Johar reveals starry cast for his upcoming film ‘Takht’ 

Bollywood's ace director Karan Johar has made a grand announcement today about his next directorial project titled ‘Takht,’ with an incredible star cast including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.

KJo surprised his fans and discussed the story of his upcoming film on Twitter. ‘Takht’ revolves around the battle for the throne of Mughal Empire. The movie is about war for love. “An incredible story embedded in history. An epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne. A story of a family, of ambition, of greed, of betrayal, of love and of succession,” Karan wrote on Twitter, along with the poster of the film.

Right after making an announcement about his movie, the Bollywood director revealed the star-studded cast of the film and said, “I am so excited and honored to announce the lead cast of Takht”. Apart from Ranveer, Kareena, Alia, Anil and Janhvi the film also features Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal in prominent roles.

The movie will hit the cinemas in 2020, however, the actual release date has not been declared yet. The film’s cast could not contain their excitement and took to Twitter to share the news with their fans.
