 ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy old and brotherly relations and this can be further strengthened through enhanced trade relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries.

This was stated by President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon while talking to the visiting Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) delegation led by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali in Dusambe on Tuesday.

According to a message received here from Dushambe (Tajiskistan), a 118 member business delegation of FPCCI and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has reached Tajikistan to explore the business and trade opportunities between the two brotherly countries.

The delegation led by President FPCCI and Vice President Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Haji Ghulam Ali was warmly received at the airport in Tajikistan.

Welcoming the Pakistani trade delegation, the President of Tajikistan said that Pakistan and Tajikistan have brotherly relations and business community of the two countries can play an important role in boosting the trade and economic relations between the two brotherly countries.

He thanked President of FPCCI Haji Ghulam Ali and Chairman TDAP Tariq Puri for visiting Tajikistan who have brought a big trade delegation from Pakistan to explore business avenues and opportunities between the two countries.

Earlier, the officials of Pakistan embassy in Tajikistan brief the delegation about the trade and investment between the tow countries.
