Toyota operates a plant in Derbyshire, central England, and produced roughly 8pc of the 1.52 million cars made in Britain in 2018. It also produces engines at a factory in Wales.
During August 2020, as many as 9,885 cars were sold against the sale of 9,126 units while the production of cars decreased from 10,636 units to 7,177 units, according to Pakistan automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
The deal is an expansion of Amazon Web Services' existing collaboration with Toyota, and marks the e-commerce giant's expanding foray into the transportation business.
In the automotive sector, AWS previously has partnered with automotive suppliers such as Aptiv, Panasonic Corp and Nvidia Corp, big transportation providers.
The company in a statement said that the joint venture agreement called the United Fuel Cell System R&D (FCRD) will produce fuel cell systems for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) to help in the realization of a clean mobility society in China.
