In interbank trading, the price of euro appreciated by 13 paisas and closed at Rs. 193.50 against the last day’s trading of Rs. 193.37, State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The dollar was selling for as much as 304,300 rials on the unofficial market, up from 295,940 on Friday, according to the foreign exchange site Bonbast.com.
US dollar positioning was derived from contracts of International Monetary Market speculators in the Japanese yen, euro, British pound, and Swiss franc.
The speculative community has short the dollar since mid-March.

The greenback was little changed at 105.99 Japanese yen, and against the euro at $1.1757.
