Karachi: Queen of pop Madonna outsold rival pop star Lady Gaga by three to one in the Latin American leg of her tour. More surprising though is the fact that tickets for Madonna’s ‘MDNA’ shows were priced three times more expensive than Gaga’s concerts.

According to sources, the management of Lady Gaga used tactics to increase the number of audience participants at her concert such as issuing buy-one-get-one-free deals to fans. Gaga performed in front of a crowd of 50,000 in Peru though only 17,000 tickets were purchased.

However Madonna played in the same venues with her fame alone managing to sell-out the stadiums with an estimated crowd of 55,000.

The dispute between the pair started when Madonna declared Gaga’s track “Born This Way” bore a very similar tune to her 1989 hit “Express Yourself”.

Gaga was also reported to have turned down an offer to perform with Madonna on her 'MDNA' tour.
