KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying Containers were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and edible oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port Qasim on Friday where total number of seven ships namely MV.City Of Beijing, APL Atlanta, MV. Heckor, Liberty Grace, Genius Mariner, MV. Lahore and Bunga Alamanda are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, furnace oil and edible Oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 88,704 tonnes comprising 78,495 tonnes imports and 10,209 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 794 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
