  • Iqbal said that the Punjab government will soon take decisions on investment applications in the cement sector which will lead to an investment of over Rs300 billion in the province.

Industrialists have shown keen interest in Punjab’s cement sector after the provincial government has received more than 16 applications for investment.

Provincial Minister of Punjab for Industries, Commerce, Investment, Skill Development , Mian Aslam Iqbal said that opening the cement sector would lead to an investment of Rs300 billion in the province.

Iqbal said that the Punjab government will soon take decisions on investment applications in the cement sector which will lead to an investment of over Rs300 billion in the province.

The Commerce Minister said that the Punjab Chief Minister wanted permission to be granted to the investors as soon as possible. He directed all the concerned departments to remove the barriers to investment.

Iqbal said that all departments including industry, local government, irrigation, environment, agriculture must be encouraged to invest. According to the Prime Minister's vision, investment facilities will be created.
