PPP to convene APC on coronavirus soon: Kaira

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Monday that the party would soon convene All Parties Conference (APC) on coronavirus crisis.
In a statement, he said the PPP is looking forward to national consensus on the situation arising out of coronavirus crisis. The PPP has started making contacts with other political parties in this regard, he added. According to him, both the federation and the provinces were reluctant in following the recommendations of Bilawal Bhutto on combating coronavirus pandemic.
However, he welcomed the Punjab government's decision of locking down the province for the next two weeks in line with the decision of the province of Sindh. While referring to Bilawal Bhutto's decision of not criticizing the prime minister, he said that leaderships take difficult decisions in a crisis-like situation.
