  • Juve players and staff members were forced into quarantine after defender Daniele Rugani became first corona victim.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has been forced into self isolation after midfielder Blaise Matuidi was tested positive for coronavirus.

The 61-year-old, who has some medical issued in past, joined the Italian giants from Chelsea last year.

Italian outlet Tuttosport are claiming that chain-smoking Sarri has been forced into self isolation to ensure he is safe.

Last week, Juve players and staff members were forced into quarantine after defender Daniele Rugani became the first Serie A star to test positive for deadly virus.

On Tuesday, Juventus confirmed that midfielder Blaise Matuidi was infected with corona.

"The player, as of Wednesday March 11, has been in voluntary home isolation. He will continue to be monitored and will follow the same regime.

"He is well and is asymptomatic."

All of Italy is now on lockdown after becoming the worst-affected nation in Europe. At least 31,506 people have tested positive for the disease, with 2,503 having died.
