Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has put off the foundation day celebration of the party till March 28, 2020 due to Coronavirus pandemic. "The party's foundation day, scheduled to be celebrated on March 18, 2020 would now be held on March 28, 2020 in view of evolving situation due to Coronavirus," MQM-P statement said here on Thursday.

The decision was taken in the meeting of Coordination Committee of the party, chaired by its convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. MQM-P demanded the Government of Sindh to immediately take the emergency measures to overcome the dangers, resulting from spread of Coronavirus.

It also demanded the quality facilities at the airports for screening of passengers as well as better healthcare facilities for the patients, infected with this virus.

About the Rs460 billion to be received from Bahria Town Karachi under the orders of apex court, the party proposed that the amount should be spent on the development of Karachi for the provision of better civic facilities to the people of the city.
