Aga Khan Women Football Club overcame Aga Khan Girls Football Academy by 2-1 score in the final to clinch Leisure Leagues Women's Day Small-sided Football title, which was held here on Tuesday at Dream World Resort to commemorate International Women's Day.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament. The teams were Aga Khan Women FC, Aga Khan Girls Football Academy, Diya FC Green, Diya FC White, OG FC, RK Green, Sunrise FC and GFA.
Mehnaz Shah from AGK Women FC was adjudged Best Player of the tournament.
Executive Director Dreamworld Resort Mr Irfan, Director World Group Col Nadeem Qazi, Director World Group Mr Firdous were the guests of honor on the occasion.
Leisure Leagues also held an exhibition match for girls in Islamabad in collaboration with Roots Millennium Education at their Wahid Campus branch, also in connection with International Women's Day.
Leisure Leagues wants to create equal opportunity for women and girls in sports. On the occasion of International Women's Day, Leisure Leagues has vowed to give equal importance to events for women and girls.
