On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,034. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.191 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,436.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.383 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 699.287 million, crude oil PKR 635.040 million, NSDQ100 PKR 592.746 million, DJ PKR 335.760 million, silver PKR 140.433 million, platinum PKR 135.682 million, SP500 PKR 108.985 million, palladium PKR 73.135 million, copper PKR 58.252 million, natural gas PKR 23.991 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.165 million.
