Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Nauman Ahmed Langrial said here on Monday that the potato crop was cultivated on more than 415,000 acre of land last year in Punjab.
The province got a production of more than 4 million tons approximately and it is expected that this year the yield will surpass the production of previous year. Potato production is eight ton per acre on average in Pakistan while developing countries are getting 10-12 tons per acre, he added.
