The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in collaboration with the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) is organizing the 2nd three-day "Suppliers & Vendors Defense Exhibition (SAVDEX)-2020" here at the Expo Centre from Feb 27, 2020.
DEPO's Director Coordination Brig Syed Ali Ammar Haider and LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh revealed this while addressing a joint press conference here today. Commodore Tariq Mahmood, LCCI office bearers and executive committee members were also present on the occasion.
They said the SAVDEX Expo is an effort towards realization of public-private partnership and collaboration in defence manufacturing industry of Pakistan. The exhibition will serve as a bridge between the defence industry entrepreneurs, traders, R&D Specialists, financial experts, startups and policy makers for capability enhancement and cost effective businesses, they added.
The event is likely to be attended by ministers, cabinet members, members of the standing committees, foreign diplomats, senior military leadership, public and private sector defence industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, defence suppliers, vendors, startups of various universities, members of various chambers of commerce of Pakistan, along with large number of media personnel, they said. Speaking on the occasion, Comd Tariq Mahmood said the Defence Export Promotion Organization is committed to promote defence production potential of the public as well private sector in Pakistan.
