Traders protest against suspension of power supply

The traders of Royal Park protested against suspension of power supply to the area over the last four days, particularly due to a strike observed by the staff of the concerned sub-divisional office.

The protestors assembled outside the sub-divisional office and protested against the power supply suspension, saying that their businesses have suffered heavily due to non-supply of electricity. They further warned of observing a sit-in at the Lakshami Chowk in case the company failed to respond to their protest.

The Executive Engineer said a delay in the resumption of power supply was due to the strike of the staff that has been called off now. He said the transformers would be made operational soon to resume power supply in the area.
