Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Thursday declared that it didn't put any demand with the federal government for its return to the cabinet. MQM-P's spokesman reacting to the media reports that the party made the return to federal cabinet by demanding the ministries rejected all these reports as "baseless".

MQM-P left the cabinet not for more ministries but quit it to protest against excesses committed with the urban parts of Sindh and non-release of development funds for these areas.

"Party didn't need ministries in the past and not now," MQM-P declared and stated that rejoining the federal cabinet would be meaningless unless the problems of Urban Sindh were resolved on priority basis. Party also requested the electronic media to get the reports related to MQM-P verified from it before airing them.
