Futures spread up by 603 basis points

The futures spread increased by 603bps to 8.67 percent on the last day of the outgoing week. Trading activities on the futures counter, however, remained thin as average daily volumes decreased by 2.4 percent to 78.82 million shares as compared to previous week's average of 80.76 million shares. Average daily trading value increased by 15.7 percent and stood at Rs 3.73 billion during this week.
